Troubleshooting Login Issues
Here are a few tips you may find helpful when having login problems to eAccounts (if you are using Internet Explorer browser):
§ Clear your cache. To do this, go to Tools > Internet Options > General tab > Click Delete Cookies button under Temporary Internet files.
§ Check that your browser settings aren’t too restricted from Tools > Internet Options > Privacy tab > Settings panel. As a general rule, your browser has to accept session cookies.
§ If you are using eAccounts and ePos, try to use the same password for both logins.
Note: Do not share login details between users as you may have problems. Every user should have a different password to everyone else. By sharing user ids, you will be making it hard for yourself to have a good audit.
§ The user id and the salesperson code need to be the same.
§ The salesperson password is the pin used by ePos users. As a result, it is advisable to keep it simple to make it a lot easier for ePos users to remember.
§ If a user incorrectly enters their password (and or user id) more than thrice across your company (same IP), the system will lock down any valid or invalid user ids from logging from your site.
§ This is a security feature which serves to prevent hackers from using brute-force attack from gaining access to your system.
§ If another user uses your id to start a new session on another computer, your current session will expire\terminate.
§ The system will delete user ids for those users that do not login using their ids for 60days.
Note: This does not delete the salesperson record.
§ The system will e-mail the manager\owner of the business 3 times over the last 3 weeks before the user account\id is terminated.
§ Should a staff member leave, please follow this link to disable their user account.
